  • Description

    In this series, participants will gain skills and insights that amplify joy and quiet anxiety.

    Experiential methods that pull from a holistic framework will be used to unlock participants’ inner wisdom.

    Through exercises that tap inner resources, members will uncover their own path and find the inspiration to move forward in life.

    Format

    Sessions will focus on weekly topics and be semi-structured. Some sharing and support between members is encouraged.

    Session Topics

    • Benefits of mindfulness – present moment awareness, de-fusing from thought content, gaining clarity. quieting the mind

    • Accessing joy – understanding negativity bias, the hedonistic treadmill, savoring, and gratitude

    • Finding balance – harmonizing work-rest-play in life

    • Cultivating a sense of belonging – discovering personal values and connecting with others through them

    • Countering shame –befriending your inner critic, forgiving self, grounding in self-compassion

  • Logistics

    • Participants will be screened to ensure that this workshop will be a good fit.

    • Workshop will be limited to 8 participants.

    • No make-up sessions.

    Fees

    Insurance will not cover this workshop as it does not fit insurance company criteria for group therapy.

    $60 per session

Carol Benoit, PhD, OT, LPC-S, NCC has 30 years of experience using holistic approaches to health and wellness with a variety of clients. Her work with clients, teaching, research, and writing has focused on mental health topics including spirituality, meditation, honoring diversity, and holistic approaches to wellness.
